Mike and Jimmy, I wanted to tell you again thank you and let you both know how much we enjoyed the hunt this past weekend. We had a great time even though we didn't harvest a deer. The ride around the ranch was really a treat and Mike, I want to especially thank you for putting forth that extra effort. It was a ride Clay and I will never forget. We waited around til about 1:30 to say good-bye, but ya'll were running long on returning from picking up Scott Crenshaw. Had to hit the trail. We are already looking forward to the next one. And next time we won't venture off and run out of gas, HaHa!!! Keep up the good work and if I win the Mega Million tonight, we are going shopping for a ranch to dedicate full time to such projects year round. This is a great and unique ministry that many more could benefit from in many ways. I am so glad that you were both obedient to the call of God on your life to do what each of you do. Very sincerely, David Patterson Dear COA Sportsmen, We had a very successful Father/Child Doe Hunt this past weekend. We were allowed 18 does and harvested 12. Our campfire devotions were a time of spiritual encouragement as Roger Harris lead us into a time of worship with his guitar and speaker Scott Crenshaw challenged us to a more personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Jimmy Hassell cooked his "SET YOU FREE" Southwest Venison Chili. Coordinator Vaughn Bryant did a great job of coordinating the event and cooked "WHATABURGERS" The lodging was better than MOTEL 6 with the comforts of home. Several kids harvested their first deer and some their second. It is really a joy to see the kids face when they accomplish the harvest. You will see by the smiles on their faces. Our guide, Mike Marbach did a fantastic job of getting everyone to their stands allowing them to see lots of animals. The scenery of the rolling hills was breath taking and absolutely beautiful. God gave us beautiful weather with cool nights and days with clear sky's. Enjoy the pictures. As the commercial said "PRICELESS!" Mike, I am sending a couple pictures from our hunt last weekend. Mary Katherine enjoyed everything about the weekend. I really appreciate the way you connected with the kids. I have had my kids with me on hunts before and the guide often acts as if children are in the way. My daughter never felt that way. She learned about the outdoors, hunting, nature, and having such a good experience will bring her back for the rest of her life. Thanks for all you do. We will see you in the hills again. They went last night and had a great time. One of my boys got two deer and the other got one. They had a blast, and have been talking about it all day. I would also like to let you know that my oldest son has expressed helping you in any way to bring other boys to the Lord by teaching them to hunt. He was very impressed with your mission. I commend you and your fellow brother in Christ for that. John Hornsby was great. He made my boys feel right at home. Greg was also great and we really appreciate him donating his time and his land for such a great cause. I will be praying for you , your family, and your mission. If you need anything please feel free to contact us. We would be more than happy to donate our time. I could even help if you need a chaperone for a hunt.
